Interior design of a sleek, modern, dark and relaxing apartment. The floorplan layout has a few different areas that are recognized as spatial “pockets”, by analyzing the function and flow of the space they became the perfect spots for darker accents - designating function and points of entry/reclusion. Hallway was also recognised as an important linear element that flows into the living room space and requires some kind of visual interest. New ceiling gypsum panels follow that line and “hug” the living room walls, while hiding the curtain rail and adding continuous linear lights throughout the apartment. They also mend the different ceiling heights in the living area. Furniture and lighting are chosen to be simple and clean in form, while holding the same elegant and contemporary aesthetic throughout the apartment.
