Research on textile conditions and composite material systems is employed to achieve transformable and ephemeral spatial formations in a winning proposal for Frankfurt Summer Pavilion Competition (“ASRM 2011”). Project was exhibited in Deutches Architektur Museum, Frankfurt.
"Infrastructural spaces" is a topic developed through work on a Master Thesis at the Staedelschule. Research comprises of written thesis, a graphic study and material / computational research and a proposal for a campus extension in Volos/ Greece. Apart from a project proposal, there were outputs with interesting aesthetic qualities and transformable capacities which are to become a subject of further research.

Supernatural pavilion proposal revolves around the idea of creating a discreet nature-dependent environment for an “instant community” which exchanges ideas about ecology. Growth of the pavilion’s modular structure structure is related to the topography of the location and functional zones , as the pavilion grows vertically through contour lines it remains intricately connected to the ground environment.
Transformation of Old Railway bridge, thesis project at the university of Belgrade, where the interest about the topics of transformation and infrastructure have been initiated. Aim was to reuse infrastructural ground of the bridge, to accommodate new pedestrian and cyclists routes, park and a hotel with facilities for leisure, culture and commerce. Distribution of new programmatic volumes within existing structure of the bridge, made it grow following the generative rules based of the existing geometry... Exhibited at Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade, exhibition “Methamorphosys of space”.
Further research on textiles particularly the potentials of using knitting textile typologies to achieve funnel spatial conditions was used for a competition proposal for London Olympic Pavilion competition. Interest in the ephemeral and transparent was once again perceived using composite materials and tensile characteristics of the knitting to generate a tent like pavilion... |read more...|
